Crickdose: Three Things That We Learned From The First T20I Between India and Bangladesh

Bangladesh have shocked India in the first T20I. Chasing a modest target of 148, the Bangladeshi batters managed to hold their nerve. So, here are the top three things that we learned from the first T20I between India and Bangladesh:

1) Superb Mushfiq

Mushfiqur Rahim proved once again that he is an excellent cricketer. When he came in to bat, his team was not in a very strong position, and they were slipping behind the required rate. However, Rahim managed to score four boundaries in the 19th over to take his side home. He is a superb batter, and he showed his class.

2) Tight Spinners

Bangladesh had earlier managed to restrict India to under 150. This was made possible by their spinners who bowled tight lines and lengths. The Indian batters had no answer to them and were not really able to accelerate towards the end of the innings. The Bangladeshi spinners will be hoping for a similar performance in the remaining matches.

3) India Struggle

India had a poor day with the bat and on the field. Towards the end of the game, a dropped catch by Krunal Pandya proved to be a gamechanger. Had he clung on to the catch, the result could have been different. However, India did not deserve to win the game, and Bangladesh were clearly the better team.

To sum up, this match has shown that India must not take Bangladesh lightly. They need to up their game if they want to compete with the Tigers. The Indian fans will certainly be hoping for a comeback!
